PROBUS Club of Streetsville History

The Streetsville Club 24, district 3, originated in 1992 sponsored by Rotary Streetsville.  Current club membership is 60 cosisting of retired or semi-retired businessmen from various occupations within Streetsville and surrounding area.  It has a all male membership and gets approximately 30-35 members out to each meeting. The club operates independently from Rotary, with its own Management Committee.

• Monthly meetings Our club meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Vic Johnston Community Centre, 335 Church Street in Streetsville.  There is a keynote speakerfrom 9:30 am till 10:30 am, followed by a break for coffee and donuts.  The second half of the meeting is for a member's vignette and a short business meeting

• Activities are organized by club members, examples being golf, mini-golf, breakfast and dinner groups, occasional trips & plant tours, an annual pot luck supper and a Christmas lunch. Members themselves decide on the activities they choose to hold and the activities they choose to participate in.
